How do I get started with Private 1:1 Studio Pilates?

Private 1:1 Studio Pilates is one of the most personalised ways to experience Pilates. Working 1:1 with your instructor, you’ll follow a tailored program designed specifically for your body and your goals.

Often referred to as Clinical Pilates, private studio sessions are ideal if you’re recovering from injury, seeking specialised conditioning, or want extra support and guidance.

Ready to give it a try? Start your Studio journey with an Initial Consultation - a 1:1 session where we dive into your movement history, goals, and individual needs.

  • Private 1:1 sessions are the most individual and supportive way to experience Pilates at The Pilates Loft. These sessions are designed entirely around you, your body, your goals, and how you’re feeling on the day.

    Working one-on-one with your instructor, you’ll use a range of classical Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel and small props. Each movement is guided, adjusted and progressed specifically for your body, allowing for a truly personalised experience.

  • Private sessions are suitable for everyone, and are especially beneficial if you:

    • Are new to Pilates and want a calm, supportive introduction

    • Are returning after injury, pain or time away from exercise

    • Want a program tailored to your individual needs and goals

    • Prefer focused guidance and a quieter studio environment

    • Would like to explore the full range of Pilates apparatus

    No experience is needed, we meet you exactly where you are.

  • Your first Studio session is booked as a Private 1:1 Studio appointment (Initial Consultation).

    All private clients begin with an Initial Consultation, where we take the time to understand your movement history, posture, goals and any injuries or concerns. From this session, we create a personalised Pilates program designed specifically for you.

    In ongoing private sessions, your instructor guides you through this program, making adjustments and progressions as your body changes and strengthens. Each session is responsive to how you’re feeling on the day, ensuring you feel supported, challenged and confident in your movement.

    Before your appointment, we recommend checking our FAQs to see what to bring and wear. Please arrive about 10 minutes early so you have time to meet your instructor and see the studio.

  • You can book your session through our website or via the Momence app. Just look for the Appointments section to find available times.

    Studio sessions are appointment-based, so if you can’t find a time that suits online, please get in touch and we’ll help you arrange one that works.

  • We understand things come up, but please note that Studio appointments require at least 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us enough time to offer your spot to another client.

    Cancellations made with more than 12 hours’ notice will be credited back to your account. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of your appointment credit.

  • Comfort is key. We recommend breathable activewear (leggings, shorts, or pants with a t-shirt or singlet). Shoes aren’t needed, all classes are done in grip socks, which are required for hygiene and safety. If you don’t have a pair, we have plenty available to purchase in the studio.

    A water bottle is also essential to keep you hydrated. You’re welcome to bring your own towel or any extra props if you like.

  • The Pilates Loft is located at Unit 6/1 Locke Lane, Ellenbrook, WA 6069.
